Attorney General-v-Gordon Claude Wateridge

The trial of Attorney General – vs – Gordon Claude Wateridge is scheduled to begin in the Royal Court, St Helier at 10 a.m. on Monday 20 April 2009.
Mr Wateridge, faces various counts of indecent assault, one count of assault and one count of incitement to indecent assault.
Previous Information
Mr Wateridge appeared in the Royal Court on Tuesday 24 February 2009 for a hearing of legal arguments. Prior to that he appeared in the Royal Court on Wednesday 10 December 2008.
Indictment
The indictment of Gordon Claude Wateridge took place at 10:00am on Friday 24 October 2008 in the Royal Court. This indictment is connected with the child abuse allegations at the former children’s home, Haut de la Garenne.
Mr Wateridge pleaded not guilty to all counts on the indictment. He was remanded on bail until 25 November 2008 for a Directions hearing, and a trial date of 20 April 2009 was set.
