Indictments of Wateridge and Aubin in October 2008

Indictments in the Royal Court – 24 October 2008

On 24 October, the Royal Court of Jersey heard the indictments of Michael Aubin and Gordon Claude Wateridge.  The defendants are not co-accused.

The counts read out against each defendant are summarised below and were correct as of that date.

Mr Aubin:
• Procuring an act of gross indecency (2 Counts);
• Sodomy (2 Counts);
• Indecent assault (6 Counts).
Mr Aubin was remanded in custody until 26 November 2008 for a Plea and Directions hearing.

Mr Wateridge:
• Indecent assault (15 Counts);
• Assault (1 Count);
• Incitement to indecent assault (1 Count).

Mr Wateridge pleaded not guilty to all counts. He was remanded on bail until 25th November 2008 for a Directions hearing, and a trial date of 20 April 2009 was set.
