Jurats at the Royal Court of Jersey, St Helier have sentenced Michael Aubin to two years probation.
 
This was in relation to his guilty pleas on 12 May 2009 of four counts in relation to sexual offences at Haut de la Garenne children’s home between 1977 and 1978.
 
In deciding the sentence, Jurats Sally Le Brocq and John Tibbo recognised that Mr Aubin has spent the equivalent of 19 months in custody and that the sentence reflected both his guilty pleas and the fact the offences were committed when he was 14 years old.
