Update on Appeals – Curtis Warren and others

The applications for leave to appeal in the case of Curtis Warren, Jonathan Welsh, James O’Brien, Jason Woodward, Paul Hunt and Oliver Lucas concluded in Jersey’s Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 24th March.

All six men entered applications for leave to appeal against their convictions. Messrs Warren, Welsh, O’Brien and Woodward also applied for their sentences to be reduced.

The panel, formed of Dame Heather Steel, Michael Jones QC and James McNeill QC, have retired to consider their decision.

The decision and reasons for the decision will be given on 5 May.
